We had a fabulous Life Skills Day today in our class. First we practiced our road safety skills walking to the shop and crossing the road at Charlie’s shop.
We then made our shopping list and what quantities we would need using kg, grams, litres and millilitres and bought all our groceries to make pancakes. In the shop we estimated the price before Mr McKernan paid by rounding up or down to the nearest pound.
It rounded to £12 and we paid £13.42. Back at school we then worked out our change.
We finished the afternoon by everyone helping to make the pancakes and wrote up our instructions to keep for later. Phew, what a busy day!
